Do You Have Something Useful or Interesting to Share? Write for HubPages and Share Your Ideas

Of Special Note When Writing for HubPages
This is not a blogging site in the traditional sense. While you may share personal experiences, your hubs must appeal to the public in general, not just your friends who want to read about your daily escapades. Please take the time to read the documents in the Learning Center concerning the differences between blogging and hubbing.
This is also not the site to use for promoting your business or other opportunities. Overly promotional hubs are not permitted. Again, visit the Learning Center concerning this.

This hub has selected 11 interesting or provocative avatars of just a few favorite fellow Hubbers to examine, and placed them in categories so you can choose the type of avatar you want to model.
Do You Fit in Multiple Categories?
Uh oh. Do you have expertise in more than one area? Super! You can still write hubs! Isn’t that great?
Take a look at my name here: ThePracticalMommy. What would you expect to read from this name? Parenting and family hubs seem like they would fit best. I do have other types of hubs though, like my hubs about teaching or my poetry.
You can do the same thing. While it’s probably wise to stick with the category you know the most about, it’s perfectly fine to branch out into other topics as well. Many seasoned hubbers branch out into different topics, while others stick to what they know best.
Tips about Earning Money as You Write for HubPages
- How to get started earning money in HubPages
- How to Make Money on HubPages Without Writing a Single Article
It is possible to make money on HubPages without writing a single article by using referral trackers to share links to hubs you and other writers have created. This hub provides step by step directions.
Other Matters to Address Before You Begin Writing for HubPages
Once you’ve thought about the hubs you’d like to write, there are still some other things to consider before you begin writing on HubPages:
For one, can you write in English? English is the only language that is acceptable here at HubPages.
Do you write well in English? Articles that are filled with grammatical errors or misspellings do not do well in the online writing world.
Do you have patience? I’ll be honest with you. Writing articles online takes time, especially when you want to do well and perhaps earn some money. You need to be patient. It takes time to be recognized by an audience. It takes time to be recognized by the search engines. It takes time to be recognized as a credible source. You cannot expect to earn money with only one hub after a few hours. It might be a few weeks or months before you actually see something happen with your work. Just be patient.
Are you willing to learn? Want to know what’s so great about HubPages? They’re willing to teach you! I believe I have mentioned this already in my hub, but HubPages has a great Learning Center that contains hubs and videos aimed at helping all hubbers be as successful as possible. There are also many, many hubbers on the site who are willing to help out if you are in need.

What a great hub on writing hubs. There are a lot of people out there that don't even realize that they have some sort of expertise. Your list is very useful in helping people tap into their own knowledge. I'm definitely voting this one up.
